‘Tis the Season at TriTech – Spreading Christmas Cheer

TriTech finishes in the top 10% of the Dallas Marathon and co-workers compete in their annual Christmas decorating contest.

Allen, TX—(December 9, 2012)—In the spirit of Christmas and competition, TriTech employees have had a busy couple of weeks. Employees ran a 26.2 mile relay on Sunday, benefiting the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Then on Monday, their neighbors from Parkview Senior Living in Allen came to judge which group had the most Christmas Spirit in the TriTech Christmas decorating contest.

The Dallas Marathon is Dallas’s oldest and largest marathon. To complete the race successfully, each runner had to cover between 4 and 6.5 miles within the 6.5 hour time limit. TriTech upped the ante this year with five teams entering the race, all of which met or exceeded their goals. The TRI TREKKERS finished in the top 10% of the relay division. Agony of Da Feet and Road Coders each finished within their time goal, and the two non-competitive teams, Rice Crackers and Cake Walkers, met their goal to finish the race.

The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, one of the nation’s leading pediatric centers for the treatment of orthopedic conditions and learning disorders, is the primary beneficiary of the MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon. In 2012, the Dallas White Rock Marathon donated $1 million to the hospital from 2011 race proceeds.

After the race, employees took off their running shoes and put on their Santa hats. Each department at TriTech transformed their workspaces into holiday wonderlands. Parkview residents from next door took time out of their busy schedules to enjoy hot chocolate and holiday treats while deciding which group got to take home first prize – a half day off work! Santa’s Workshop by the Admin & Marketing and Municipal Group claimed the top prize. An impressive live nativity scene by the Services group was the runner up. Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to the winners. Merry Christmas!
